Modern Documentary Photographer. Lifestyle Photographer. Photojournalist. Call me what you want - but what I really want to be is the photographer that captures that very precise moment that captures the essence of the subject. (So there you have it, my idol? Henri Cartier Bresson.)

I want to create photos that are real, natural and artistic. Images that show who you are through candids and naturally posed shots. I'm not looking for the flawless traditional portrait, but rather the image that captures the smile that says "I have a secret" and the eyes that dance with folly. So how do I get these shots? I combine my training as a photojournalist + traditional posing and lighting + you!

I thoroughly enjoy portraits, but there is a lot more to my work. I photograph sports, events (theatre, school, dance, first communions, whatever your "event" might be!) seniors, families, and children & pets. Commercial work for local business includes head shots, interior/exterior location shots, employees at work and finally staged shots of their product in use. Images are available for print, web or social media. On going photography for weekly or monthly shoots is available per hour or on a contract basis.

Lastly, I am a freelance artist. I design and photograph about equal parts. (See my portfolio for graphic design samples of recent/past work.) Brochures, logos, catalogs, packaging - I've designed hundreds.

My equipment is all premium from full-frame cameras to my prime lenses. I use raging Macs and have ALL the software, trust me, ALL of it. I began with photo editing in 1988 -- the year Photoshop came into existence -- and have been going to "work" and playing every day. To say I love my job is definitely an understatement!
